That 15-under featured the stars of
tomorrow and boy will they be fun to
watch the next couple of years as
they prepare for college. Ohio
Basketball Club (OBC) has taken a
lot of fun out of the “where will
they end up” questions because point
guard Noah Cotrill has
already committed to West Virginia
and forward Dakota Euton has
committed to Kentucky.
Dc Assault also has some names of
their own in 6-8 Josh Hairston,
6-0 Eric Atkins, and 6-2
Tyler Thorton.
DC got the lead early and led 37-27
at halftime. In the second half
Noah Cotrill raised his level of
play and showed why he is one of the
top point guards in the country.
Cotrill hit a pair of 3-pointers and
tossed some assist and before you
knew the game was tied.
DC answered right back with a run of
their own led by Tyler Thorton. DC
closed the game out by knocking down
six free-throws in the final minute
to claim a 71-64 victory. Tyler
Thorton won MVP honors with his 21
points. The 6-8 Hairston was
equally worthy as he controlled the
paint for Assault and slowed down
Dakota Euton. Euton is used to
posting up smaller players and
taking bigger players off the
dribble but everywhere he went
Hairston was right with him step for
step.
